If you love craft beer and cruising, you will enjoy cruising on the Potomac onboard tall ship Providence while learning about various craft beers from Port City Brewing or other local craft breweries. Providence is a full-scale replica of the Continental Navy's first warship, which served under John Paul Jones' first American Command. It has appeared in movies including "Master and Commander" and " Pirates of the Caribbean." The cruise will be for about two hours, and guests will get to meet John Paul Jones and experience how life was like aboard an eighteen-century sloop. You will also be offered three beers while brewing expert explains how they're brewed and what makes them unique. You'll even get to buy a bottle or more of your favorite brew but if you are not a beer fan, there'll be other beverage choices. Craft Beer cruises are offered on most Friday evenings and occasionally on other days as well. They are open to people of all ages though you have to be over 21 years to participate in the tasting. Cruise tickets are released for sale approximately 30 days before the scheduled cruise to avoid weather-related cancellations.
